This July the Amicalola EMC Operation RoundUp board awarded a total of $18,150 to local non-profits and qualifying individuals. The organizations that received grants were Appalachian Mountain Scottish Rite Assoc., Boys & Girls Club of North Georgia, Creative Enterprises Dawson, Georgia Mountain Food Bank, Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County; Goshen Valley, Lamp Ministries, Meals by Grace, Pickens County Schools, R.M. Moore Elementary School STEM and the Service League of Cherokee County.
Co-op members who participate in Operation RoundUp contribute, on average, $6 annually. Even though the individual donation seems small, when combined, Operation RoundUp can make a real difference in our communities. The real heroes… that’s YOU.
