Amicalola EMC urges members to remain #WeatherAware this weekend

A lot of information is being released about the storms headed our way. As always, we recommend having multiple ways to receive weather alerts. The potential for severe weather could come in the middle of the night on Saturday. Ensure your family is safe by preparing your plan now.

The greatest risk is from Saturday night into Sunday morning. Primary storm threats include:

⚠️Widespread damaging winds 60-80 mph

⚠️Possible tornadoes (some could be strong and long-track)

⚠️Large hail (1+ inch)

⚠️Heavy rain and flash flooding (increased risk of flooding will be in North Georgia)

We recommend following US National Weather Service Peachtree City Georgia and your local EMA's for important updates. You can also find information at Ready.gov on how to stay prepared for possible power outages.
