Levelized Billing

Amicalola Electric Membership Corporation offers levelized billing for its members. To qualify, members must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Billing History: At least 12 months of billing history.
• Account Status: A zero balance with no late charges or cutoff notices.

How Levelized Billing Works

Levelized billing is calculated based on your current month’s kilowatt-hour usage combined with the actual usage from the previous 11 months. Here’s how it works:

1. Current Usage: Your kilowatt-hour consumption for the current month is recorded.
2. Historical Average: We add this to the previous 11 months of usage and divide by 12 to find your average consumption.
3. Monthly Adjustment: Your bill is based on this average, which is recalculated each month. The oldest month is dropped, and the current month’s usage is added, maintaining a rolling 12-month history.

How to Sign Up

To enroll in levelized billing, you need to complete a form and mail it back to us. You have two options:
