The EMC/FFA Electrification Contest, organized by local FFA chapters and sponsored by Amicalola EMC and Georgia's electric membership corporations, offers high school students the chance to win scholarships for any college, university, or vocational school in Georgia.

This contest reinforces electrical wiring concepts taught in vocational agriculture programs and enhances students’ understanding of electric energy and the role of EMCs in Georgia’s energy future. Participants develop skills in electrical wiring, critical thinking, and communication, gaining hands-on experience that is often lacking in traditional classroom settings. Since 1968, Georgia's electric cooperatives have hosted local practice sessions for this event.
