10 AM – Amicalola EMC members, we are aware of the widespread outages across the northern part our service area. This is due to a transmission line being down near Carters Lake. Georgia Transmission is addressing the issue. Thank you for your patience.
12 PM – Many Amicalola EMC members have their power back on, but some do not. The majority of existing outages are in Gilmer County, specifically in the following areas:
- Roy Rd
- Big Creek Rd
- Macedonia Rd
- Hwy 515
- Boardtown
- Flat Branch
Around 5,800 of our members are still out due to an issue with a transmission line affecting 3 of our substations. Dispatchers have been able to back feed within our system and get some areas back on, but if you are still out at this time we ask for your patience. Georgia Transmission is actively working on this issue.
