8:30 PM update: power has been restored to almost all of our territory. We still have 2 outages affecting 4 members. We are so grateful to the linemen who have worked hours in the cold conditions so that our consumer-members would have power once again. Please be safe this evening and in the morning. The snow and ice that still remains on roadways will refreeze tonight. If you must travel please do so with caution.
4:00 PM update: Crews have continued to chip away at outages this afternoon. We currently have 622 members affected at 9 different locations, with the majority being in Ellijay around the Highway 282 outage. The following photos show some of the broken poles, downed trees and downed power lines crews have encountered. We will continue our efforts to restore all power as soon as is safely possible.
