Last night we hosted our annual Youth Awards Banquet at Chattahoochee Technical College and celebrated some outstanding students from Cherokee, Dawson, Gilmer, Lumpkin and Pickens counties. Amicalola EMC, and other utility companies, routinely perform power pole inspection and maintenance programs. This is done to reduce replacement costs, extend the life of the poles and to increase the safety and reliability of the electric system.
